A local college is having an international day. You want to speak to students about your country from different cultures. Write a letter to the college head. In your letter:

• tell him about the topics you are going to talk about
• explain why would they be of interest to the students
• ask for any arrangements that you need

I have read in Newstoday, the July 2nd edition, that Sarin culinary College has decided to celebrate the international food day and anyone interested is welcome to join the event. It was also mentioned that you would want to select one knowledgeable person from the local neighborhood to give a 30-minute presentation about the history and the culture of food in Iran. Therefore, I am writing to give you some details about the information I have that will probably be interesting for all the attendees, especially the students at the college.
For more than six years I have studied the history of food in Iran, because I was particularly interested in cooking and learning our traditional recipes. I have learned throughout these years that actually many European, American and even African recipes for several cuisines have been inspired by the traditional Iranian food recipes. This information is actually approved by several trustable researchers whose books I have read. I have also invented several innovative recipes for many restaurants around the town and the feedback was that they all have been of particular interest to their customers. These are actually the things I would like to mention as a part of my talk.
I am sure that this information alongside the new recipes I am going to introduce to students for different types of pasta, rice and salad will be very interesting for your students, since they are all studying cooking and they will surely enjoy learning some new and delicious ways of cooking.
I have also planned to cook some of my innovative quick-made snacks at the event and teach the students the way to cook them, so if you could provide me with as big as a five square meter space to set my station I would be grateful. I can bring my own dishes and cooking equipment, but I am going to need some disposable plates and cutleries. Also for the presentation I will need a projector to illustrate what I am going to tell the students using slides.
I hope I sound qualified enough to give this presentation and I hope I give the students very good insights about the culture of our food, were I selected.
